All grapes (100% Chardonnay) for this cuvée come from selected plots with old vines in Chouilly and contain about 30% reserve wines. Packed with mineral freshness and aroma.
The Extra Brut has an additional year on the lees and only 2g/l dosage gives you a smokey front end, oodles of minerality, a hint of toast and a texture and length to die for.
Tasting Notes:
Light yellow colour with a greenish hue. Stream of fine bubbles lead way for a youthful nose with showing citrus. On the palette it is precise with notes of pear and a mineral and salty finish.
Food Pairing:
Bayonne ham, Tuna, Soft creamy cheese such as Reblochon.
James Suckling 2022: 94 points "Layered with notes of flint, chalk, brioche, sourdough, lemon peel, white grapefruit, spiced pear and subtle, smoky, reductive character. So much tension, too, with fine bubbles and a chiseled structure.”
