Grower family Laherte offers two distinct vintage Blanc de Noirs released in a limited small edition : Les Vignes d'Autrefois from Pinot Meunier and Les Longues Voyes from Pinot Noir.
Les Longues Voyes is a vintage Pinot Noir Champagne sourced from a single hectare of biodynamic vines in Chamery, 1er Cru location, in the Montagne de Reims. The old vines are rooted in clay and silts over a limestone base. It's made from a single four-tonne press of grapes which was naturally fermented and matured in old Clos des Epeneaux and Leroux oak barrels. With an 18 months long ageing in barrels and another 18-20 months on the lees in the bottle, richness and complexity is added. The dosage is always kept low (extra brut).
100% Pinot Noir from old vines of a single vineyard and vintage
Vinification :
The nose reveals notes of black fruits, and the palate is lively, tense, fine, tasty and tonic. The wine is of great purity with a very persistent saline finish.
94 points, Antonio Galloni (Vinous): “The 2017 Extra Brut Blanc de Noirs Les Longues Voyes 1er Cru, 100% Pinot Noir, is the most impressive and complete of the three lieu-dit selections from Laherte this year. Silky and aromatic, with lovely mid-weight presence, the Longues Voyes is all class. Sweet red cherry, red plum, dried flowers and chamomile all grace this exquisite, beautifully polished Blanc de Noirs. The 2017 is a real success, especially for the vintage.”
