Longitude is a powerful, tightly wound wine that captures the inherent energy of these soils rich in limestone and chalk. All the Chardonnay fruit here comes from the 4th Longitude on a straight line down from Cramant, Avize, Oger to the village of Vertus. This wine is a touch more full bodied than the Latitude, even though it is also 100% Chardonnay. A fascinating example of terroir since it is produced from the same grape and in the same way. There are some more evolved notes yet this remains very elegant and long. Chiselled but with softer edges. Extra-Brut with a dosage of 4 g/l.

William Kelley, Oct 2020, Robert Parker / The Wine Advocate 93/100 points : Longitude is routinely one of the region's finest values; indeed, along with Egly-Ouriet's VP bottling, this is one of my two "house" Champagnes. The latest rendition of the Larmandiers' NV Longitude Blanc de Blancs Premier Cru Extra Brut is predictably superb, offering up scents of waxy lemon rind, crisp yellow apple, dried white flowers and fresh hazelnut, followed by a medium to full-bodied, vinous but precise palate that's pure, delicately textural and captivatingly weightless despite its undeniable intensity and concentration, concluding with a complex, mouthwateringly saline finish. It's hard to think of a better value in Champagne.
