Description: Récolte Rosé is a great rosé champagne! It has everything you could wish for, but never gets too sweet. The base wine for the Récolte Rose starts as a Blanc de Noirs of Pinot Noir with an addition of Pinot Meunier giving it its salmon-pink hue. Pinot Meunier is not as common in the Côte des Bar as Pinot Noir but it brings a lovely touch of spice and fruit to his Rosé. You definitely notice the ageing of the wine in oak barrels (used Puligny-Montrachet barrels). It bears all the hallmarks of the Dosnon style – pure, focused, intensely mineral but with a clear, spicy, red-fruit and orange peel lift to the flavors. All in all, the champagne is beautifully balanced with none of the flavours dominating the others. Especially, the tannins and sweetness are very well integrated. If you are looking for a rosé champagne that is different from the usual strawberry lemonades out there you are right with this one.
