Single plot 2015 Blanc de Blancs Brut Nature

Avize Champ Caïne is 100% Chardonnay, from a 1.3 ha plot planted in 1962; extra-brut dosage, issued from a Grand Cru vineyard with old vines of almost pure limestone soil. After more than 8 years of aging on the lees it expresses an excellent aromatic cleaness, with notes of white flowers, honey and dried fruits. Great freshness, minerality, complexity and persistence on the palate. Avize is the most incisive and mineral-driven Grand Cru of the Côte des Blancs. An elegant synthesis of richness, deepness and freshness. A great Blanc de Blancs Champagne!

2015 is a powerhouse from a warm, generous vintage, in contrast to its cooler predecessor, 2014. The wine is pure and focused, yet not as austere or extreme as the 2014.

From this Cuvée only 11'328 bottles and 406 magnums were produced ! Dosage 1g/l (extra-brut)
