A single plot “Les Rosiers”, a single “Pinot Noir” grape variety and a single vintage gave birth to this unique and exclusive Champagne. The Rosé de Saignée Extra-Brut Les Rosiers is sourced from old vines that were planted in 1967 and 1968.
This Rosé draws its substance and fruitiness from a short maceration of the juice with the grape skins. This rare but traditional method in Champagne brings more vinous and complex rosés to the table. 100% barrel-fermented and unfiltered. Without malolactic fermentation. Extra Brut dosage 4g/l.
It has a garnet red color and offers floral and fruity aromas, a potpourri of licorice, cherries, violas and red berries. Very elegant and vinous on the palate, this is a well structured Rosé Champagne with a lovely Pinot character in the finish that displays very delicate red fruit and floral aromas also in the finish. This lovely Rosé drinks like a classic Pinot with bubbles. Good length and minerality here.
